OVERVIEW

Google Autos Sheet: Redesigning the autos listings page

The current listings experience is an immersive experience off the Google Search Results Page. This will cause issues in Europe with the Digital Marketing Act regulations (as seen on Hotels, travel etc primarily due to 1P immersives being viewed as not equal to 3P in the EU). The team’s ultimate goal is to migrate the immersive experience to the Google Search Results Page which results in the carsheet leveraging the universal viewer framework to align with other Search Result Page experiences.

As part of the car buying exercise, I had to create a user journey map. This was important in order to be able to empatheize with our users and the problems that they face on their car buying journey.
